I'm enjoying continuing to scrapbook this year. My goal is a modest four layouts a month. I know if I do that, I will do more because I will binge at least once in while along the way. This week's page is inspired by Amanda's April Challenge. If you're a scrapbooker and haven't checked out her blog, you really should! She has lots of great layouts, and I think I'm going to be her guest artist for her May challenge.
For this layout, you essentially make eight little square layouts (I made mine 5.5x5.5, rounded the edges, used a sheet of Oregon cutouts I bought at a scrapbook store there and some Tim Holtz tissue tape). It was a great way to capture the train trip Clara and I took last spring to visit Henry at college (there's actually 12 photos on the layout, but it doesn't seem like that many). In looking at this, it reminds me a little bit of some of your project life pages (just in a larger format). If you're scrapping this month and like the looks of this layout, you can join Amanda's challenge at the link above.

It's a great set-up for a lot of photos without looking too busy. And I agree it does look Project Life-esque
It does indeed capture lots of things but without being busy - a great page! I like the variety of formats within each little square,
I love the idea of combining lots of little layouts like that. You've got lots on there and it looks great
I love the way you've used a variety of photographs in different ways on your layouts Maria. The colours are all perfect too. Can't wait to see more scrapbooking ideas from you

I love a grid layout and this came together wonderfully. It does, indeed, look a bit like Project Life. Those Oregon cutouts work great!
Great way of using lots of pics on a page...I had to check that there really WERE so many! Xx
Love this Rinda. It's great that you got so many photos on the page, without it feeling at all cluttered. Rounding some of the photo corners has worked really well too. Thanks for joining in with my challenge.
This turned out great - I like the rounded corners & the use of lots of photos. I scrapped at a friend's this past week & have lots of layouts to share in the next few days. (Off now to checkout Amanda's blog.)
It looks great Rinda and it's hard to believe there are 12 pictures on there.
