PHC: February Treasures

Each month, Kat Sloma encourages photographers to review their recent photographs and pick the one which has the strongest heart connection. It turns out I took very few photographs with my big camera this month, but I took this one which was an easy winner. I love the shine in the heart, the fresh lavender from my garden, and the table cloth which recalls many happy memories. I love the looseness of composition, the texture of the elements and the play of the light. It brings me joy every time I look at it.

My iphone provided a few other contenders.  This one of Clara surveying the track at the University of Oregon.
I love the way she is bathed in light and the way she seems to be contemplating her future.
And then a few from the train ride:
These three were all instagrammed and I love the way the processed colors give them a surreal tintype feel. They definitely call to my heart as well.
To see other PHC's for February, check out this link.
And I'd love it if you left me a comment letting me know if you have a favorite today.

The shot of Clara has a strong emotional pull and I also really like the colour, and composition (and subject for that matter), of the last shot. This is a lovely reflective meme each month Rinda, I really enjoy seeing your entrants.

I too agree that the shot of Clara pulls the strongest emotionally, slightly bittersweet for me as of course Princess is off now experiencing that future. Of the others I like the misty mountains best.

Yep, I think the picture of Clara is my favourite here too. Though I'm always very fond of lavender too

Very hard to make a choice, but I think it will be the sunset through the trees.

toss up between the first two. I like the one of Clara a lot but there is a lot to look at in it besides her & the first one there isn't.

Love the Lavender and Heart. I have been learning to play Lavender's Blue on my harp. Cut my right middle finger on Friday so have been practicing left handed only (which I am not!) BJ

I like the one of Clara, but my favourite is the last one :)

I can't decide between the one of Clara and the first sunrise one!

The light surrounding her is stunning and the landscapes breathtaking.

The simple is often the most beautiful. The blue of the lavender next to the red of the heart is a very lovely image. You could make a card from this image, people would love to receive it.

Although I truly understand the pull of all of these photos, the one you chose is my favorite as well.

The one you chose is perfect for February! Of the others, I'm pulled towards the ones from the train - the first and last especially. I love those colors.

I'm hard pressed to pick a favourite. I like them all for different reasons. Clara, bathed in light, just pips it for me I think.

Most definitely the one of Clara!
