Look Up//Look Down #40: Fully into Fall

Fall is a beautiful time of year here on the coast, and we are sometimes treated to fantastic sunsets.  It is also the time of year to harvest pears.  So, I thought these two photographs would be perfect representation for this week's look up//look down (a meme hosted by Helena). What does Fall look like where you are?

Fall means keeping an eye out for smoke. Even though we live in the same state Fall for us is a little different. It means very dry weather. Those dry days could also become very windy. That is why we keep eyes peeled to the dry hills hoping we don't see smoke from a wildfire.

great skies. Harvesting from the garden is the one part of fall that I enjoy

Round here it looks very golden against our red brick. But I don't think I've ever seen a sky quite like that one

Fall here is pretty quick - leaves turn brown, fall off, everything else about the same! :>)

Amazing sunset. No pears for us this year - the tree caught the frost as the wrong time. Lots of apples tho'.

What a great looking sunset picture. Your garden looks like it's quite aways down but a great fall picture. Here it seems we're getting the rain that was missing for most of the summer. The poor kids tonight are going to have a very wet Halloween.
