SOC/PPF: June Nights in Pink and Grey

The Summer of Color palette for this week is charcoal grey and pale pink. For Kristin's summer time challenge, I'm making post cards using acrylic paint, summery quotes and lots of texture. I used clear glass bead gel, tinted with light magenta and titanium white to create the pale pink. I mixed basic grey and silver for the charcoal grey. Topped everything up with micaceous iron oxide.  My quote reads "If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance."
I think this is my favorite post card and color combination so far! To see my earlier post cards, you can click here.

It's definitely a colour combination we need to see more of. little bit 80's and yet now it looks completely fresh and right again

As soon as I saw that postcard it reminded me of a childhood home. The whole house was decorated in pink and grey down to the pink carpet and grey linoleum! Thanks for the memories.

I'm running very late and trying to get to everyone, but had to tell you how much I love this romantic beauty. What a fun way to honor SOC: postcards. And your colors are splendid. I just want to reach through my screen and feel all those textures.

Love your SOC postcard this week and the sentiment made me smile. Glad I scrolled down after the super fire engine photo with the ladies at the helm. BJ
