FYV: A Story in Photos told 3 Ways

Take 1:
Scavenger Hunt Item #9: Something out of place
A dog. On a piano. On a bluff overlooking the ocean.
*****************************************************************************************
Take 2:
Artist Mauro Ffortissimo's latest art installation. He has placed twelve pianos in various places along the Coastside. He encourages people to play the pianos and also documents the decay of the pianos over time. When I saw this piano, I thought it was perfect for the 2013 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt item #9: someone or something that is clearly out of place or doesn't belong. You can read more about the sunset piano project here.

Take 3:

Lesson #4 in Find Your Voice is about experimenting with different story telling styles.  One of the creative prompts asks us to tell the same story in photographs a number of different ways by using different story telling styles.  Yesterday, I took Gypsy with me to take a photograph for the Photography Scavenger Hunt, and the photos I took lent themselves well to this assignment.
I really like Take 1. It is slightly different than what I would typically do for my blog. It leaves a lot to the viewer's imagination to figure out what is going on. It's kindof funny, and it's a well-composed interesting photograph.
Take 2 is more journalistic and something that would be very typical for my blog. I made a collage in picmonkey and added text about why there is a piano on the coastal bluff.
Take 3 is a totally different style for me. I made a comic strip and told the story from Gypsy's point of view. I added the comic bubbles and text and made the collage in picmonkey.
So, which version is your favorite?

What a great idea for a piece of art and yes, you have that prompt well and truly covered!

I like Take 1 as a photograph but Take 2 is something I would include in a scrap page.

Take 1 is my favorite, no question. It is a real attention grabber and leaves you wondering. Takes 2 and 3 also have their merits for different reasons. But wow, I feel kind of sorry for those pianos!

I like three because it made me laugh. I like one because it fits with the scavenger hunt and gives us a chance to make our own story. I like two because it explains.
I like three best.

Your third series made me chuckle, but I think the first photo is my favorite for composition and subject matter. You're right, it is something out of place, and at first sight I wondered what in the world I was looking at. Haha. Really cool series, Rinda.

Pic one is my favourite picture but as I like facts, pic two would be my choice. However, if I was to choose my fav story, I would go with the comic strip. I love it!

LOVE Gypsy's comic strip, exactly what she may be thinking! I read about the pianos in our local paper and thought of you right off the bat! FUN stuff.

Gypsy is absolutely adorable and looks fabulous sitting on top of the piano. I can't help thinking that it is such a waste to leave pianos to rot on a beach but your fun photo shoot has helped to preserve them for posterity. Elizabeth xx

Rinda, this is magnificent! I like the mystery of number 1 and the thought bubbles of number 3 made me hoot with laughter! A worthy inclusion in your scavenger hunt. Wishing I was that close to the sea .... Did you play the piano?

I like all three but my favorite is #1 because it looks like a picture out of the Somerset Blog Magazine. Gypsy looks like a star and needs to be in movies.

The 3 versions of the same story are amazing. I can't wait to figure out which story I want to tell for week 4.
