A Shooting Star Fence (Good Fences Link-Up)

It's been too long since I've linked up with the Run*A*Round Ranch Report's Thursday Good Fences link-up. I couldn't resist capturing these star-studded fences at Universal Studios in Southern California.
They remind me of the Marilyn Monroe quote, "Everyone's a star and deserves the right to twinkle." Here's hoping you've twinkled lately!

Balboa Park, San Francisco (Good Fences Link Up)

I headed out to watch my son Henry play soccer on Sunday at Boxer Stadium, which is located in Balboa Park in San Francisco, California. The gate to the playground caught my eye, as did its ornate fence.
I thought it would be perfect for my contribution to the Run*A*Round Ranch Report's weekly Good Fences Link-Up. I hope you agree!

Backyard Fences (Good Fences Link-Up)

Out in the back-back, in the small orchard next to the chicken coop, we have this fence. I like the texture; I like the knots; I like how it looks as a backdrop to the ripening plums. You can click on the image to see it larger and in more detail.
And in the backyard, we have this scenic, if somewhat ineffective fence. Nasturtium growing wild; green garden fencing; a well-placed cinder block. . . . lovely, but obviously in need of repair. Again, click on the image to see it larger and in more detail.
I'm sharing a bit of my backyard fences this week with the Good Fences Link-Up at the Run Around Ranch Report blog. You can see more good fences at this link.

A Pretty Main Street Fence (Good Fences Link-Up)

Just a little white picket fence. A little green, purple and white bit of pretty to brighten up your Thursday. Inspired, as always, by the Good Fences link-up sponsored by the Run*A*Round Ranch Report blog. If you want to see more good fences, why not click out this link?

Zoom In/ Zoom Out on a Weathered Fence

Since finding the "Good Fences" weekly meme, sponsored by Run*A*Round Ranch Report blog, I notice so many gorgeous, photogenic fences. While wandering down Main Street the other day, I spied this weathered beauty fronted by some lovely lavender. When I got to the end, I captured its wonderful end post:
The two photographs together make a wonderful pair for Helena's Zoom In Zoom Out meme, which encourages followers to take two photographs one close up and one wide angle.
I'm linking up to both Good Fences and ZIZO.

Devil's Slide Fence (Good Fences Link-Up)

I've always enjoyed photographs of fences. They offer such variety and visual interest. It's a fascination shared by my blog friend Carola Bartz, whose blog offers stunning photography and stories of a German Expat in Northern California. She was the inspiration for including "a fence" in a previous Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. So, imagine my happy surprise when she linked up recently to a new-to-me weekly meme called "Good Fences Link-Up, sponsored by The Run*A*Round Ranch Report blog.  I've kindof fallen in love with that blog a little bit, for its wonderful photography and cowgirl-up feel, so I wanted to link up with this week's Fences meme. I took this photograph on the Devil's Slide trail, which I blogged about yesterday.  If you're interested in fences (or just good photography), go check out Carola's and TexWisGirl's blogs. You won't be disappointed.
