Happy Easter!

Mucking around and cleaning up, I found this newspaper clipping from 1997. That's back when Easter was about egg hunts.  Ten years later, Easter was all about this:
Yes - egg games, in which you try to hit a hard boiled egg with a baseball bat. For distance!  Last year, this is what we did:
You can read the whole story of Peep Wars at this post.
This year, we're gathering with family and friends to enjoy the day. I'm sure there will be good food and a few laughs.  Photos to follow. What are you doing today?

Isn't it fun that each Easter has its own memories. Easter Sunday will be just the two of us, mostly relaxing. Today (Saturday) we had 8 family members here and even an Easter egg "hunt" for a 20-month-old cousin. Have a wonderful Easter Rinda!

What would we do without traditions - the new ones and the old? Have a joyful Easter, Rinda

when i was a kid my parents would always have an easter egg hunt for us in our big, woodsy backyard. when we were teenagers, and not so interested anymore, they filled the plastic eggs with money and got a kick out of watching us frantically search for eggs again!

today we are just relaxing at home. i hope your day is happy and festive.

Happy Easter! After Church we rolled our hard-boiled eggs in the garden then had an egg hunt in the house as it started raining.

the egg bashing looks fun! Kids grow so fast. We had a quiet Easter - just us and "the boy". The weather was terrific so we actually took some photos outside while waiting to grill our chicken!
