Confessions of a Paper Hoarder

I have paper - lots of paper. So, I signed up for Shimelle's new class, "Pretty Paper Party," in the hopes that it would get me back in into the scrapping groove. And it has, which is a good thing, because in addition to lots of paper, I have lots of pictures to scrap. The layout above was inspired by one of her posts about using a pop of color with neutrals.
And this layout responds to a prompt about scrapping on a background of patterned paper. I believe that all the papers in this layout have a pattern (although I flipped one over for the yellow journaling block on the right hand side). Both of today's layouts feature pictures from our family vacation to the Pacific Northwest because I decided to work on finishing these up during the beginning of the class.  You can always click on a picture of a layout to see more details.
So, now it's confession time.  If you took all your paper and stacked it up, how tall would your stack be? All your paper - patterned, cardstock, 8.5x11, 12x12 - everything.  I stand 5'5", and I think my stack would be just a smidge shorter than me! Is that awful? Or is that wonderful? How tall is your stack?

Great layouts, and I love how many photos you can fit on a page! If I stacked all my paper up, it might be nearly as tall as yours since I have quite a collection of 6X6 paper pads that would be teetering on top. I've purged a lot of my 12X12 paper in the last year, but I don't seem to have any trouble finding what I need in my own stash! Aside from a few new Christmas papers for this year's December Daily I haven't bought much patterned paper this year. (I have bought several new paper pads, however, as well as some baby papers which I used for Sarah's shower.)

happy to hear you are enjoying Shimelle`s class, it`s been fun seeing what everyone is doing even though I`m sitting this one out :) Love the blue in the layout... my stack would be half my height I would think as I have used lots of paper lately!

Two great Double layouts here glad you are having fun with this class
my stack wouldn't be half as big as yours but I still have lots and lots to use so shouldn't really buy any more..... but I will, I know I will.

Knee-high as I don't collect much, I tend to use it. I am aware i'm in the minority here :)

Great layouts, the class is great.

In doing this class I've realized my 12 x 12 pile isn't actually very big at all....it's ages since I've bought any....like Karen it's the smaller pads that would add greatly to the height of my pile.In fact some of my 12 x 12s are so old...I'm not too keen on them any more....so this class will be great for using some of them up [hopefully].But if you love the papers....the more the better!!
As always I'm admiring how you manage to have so many photos on one page....and it still all look great.

Ummm, I barely make two inches of combined paper and cardstock ....but, I fully realise that I probably have no right to truly call myself a scrapper! ;-)

I think that's pretty exciting! I could be completely in denial, but I reckon my pile would reach about halfway up to my knee. I've been using more than I've been buying lately. Maybe it's time for a splurge..

What an intriguing question Karen! I had to know the answer so I went in my scrap room and looked. My paper sits in Cropper Hopper upright bins, across two shelves. The bins are not all full and some have dividers in them. In bins, it takes up 30". If I took all the paper out and stacked it up, it might be more like 28" (or thigh high on my 5'4" frame).

Great layouts - I like the blues & yellows together. I believe my paper stack would be a little shorter than yours, but I'm not stacking it all up for proof just in case it's taller! :>) I think it's wonderful to have lots of paper to choose from - just think what would happen if you were inspired and didn't have enough paper to choose from!?!

Lovely vibrant layouts Rinda. I am a good girl and if I stacked all my paper up it would probably only be about 4 inches high!.

I love how you get so many photos on your pages :)

I keep my papers in several different places so I'm not sure how high my stack would be - I'm a bit nervous of finding out, to be honest!! Though I have scrapped 18 layouts this week so the pile would be a little shorter than before that....

Hhhmmm - my "stack" of PP (in one binder & a hanging file RUB ) would be about 8" - which I though was a lot, but it obviously isn't! My CS is about 4" deep, so 12" of 12x12s!
