Coming out of the Shadows

Hi Blog Friends,
I'm still here - just incredibly busy with real life!
I've been running a snackbar for a huge cross country (running) meet for the high school; taking team pictures for the middle school volleyball, cross country and flag football teams; attending meetings for school fundraisers; organizing an outing to a college soccer game for the high school team; arranging a dental appointment when my 16 year old told me he had a tooth about to fall out (turns out to be a baby tooth- at 16!); helping the 13 year old get ready for her big historical figure presentation (she dressed as Francis Scott Key); teaching full time; and watching my husband prepare to "retire" tomorrow (he's opening a consulting business).
Not much time for art (or blog visiting), but I did manage a shadow self-portrait. Can you tell what I'm doing?
Hope to come out of the shadows and into the light soon!

Well....it looks a bit like you're saluting....but I imagine you're actually taking the photograph.

Buzzzzzz You are a busy bee. My guess is taking a picture or is it a yoga pose? :) From your shadow, I can tell you are keeping up with your New Year Fabulous Fifty Program. Keep Up The Good Work!

Wow, suddenly I don't feel so busy... Amazing Rinda, however do you find enough hours - or time to sleep!
Good luck to your husband, with his new venture.
Love the photo - of course, your shadow is taking a photo of yourself!

I'm exhausted just reading that Rinda - but have to say that women are great at squeezing a week's worth of activity into a couple of days - hope you get some "me" time soon though!

I always say I get the most done when I'm busy, and it's been true this week for me as well. I've yet to get to my blog, and this is the first time for others in several days! Enjoy the time with your family!

Life sounds consuming in a very good way. I remember those days very well and believe me in a few years when they are all gone off to college you'll have plenty of time for art and blogs. Love the shadow pic (of you taking it) Best wishes to dh on his business venture!

Wishing your husband all the best with the consultancy business. Your life sounds as hectic as mine! Only managing to catch up on blogs today as my boss kindly gave me an unexpected day off! Love the shadow self portrait - I think you must be taking a photo of yourself! Just remember, even if you are busy, look after yourself too!
