Trick-or-treating for Blog Candy

This week's challenge at the Studio L3 blog is the wrinkle free distress technique, and I used it to make this Halloween tag.  It seems like a perfect accompaniment for a bunch of give aways!
First, as I hinted at yesterday, I'm having a give-away to celebrate the San Francisco Giants winning the National League West Championship. I'm giving away several packages of vintage paper and ephemera.  To enter my blog give away, post a comment below and tell me the name of your favorite sports team to root for.  It can be anything from a professional team to a school team or anything in between.  My challenge will remain open through Sunday evening 9:00 pm California time.
Second, Terry is celebrating her appointment to the Scroll Works stamps design team with a blog give-away.  You can enter at this link.
Third, Ali is so thrilled to be have been recognized at Split Coast stampers that she's giving away a very cool prize.  Check it out here.
Fourth, Mel is giving away a very nice journal for blogtoberfest.  Read this post to enter.
Fifth, if you're more the bookish type, Sian runs a book pass around. Read about it and sign up here.
Finally, while not technically blog candy, there's a cool blog-it-forward "Haunting" event going on sponsored by Gingersnap Creations, which you can read about here.  I picked up my tag from Vicki at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.  Check out her haunting work by clicking this link. If you want to play along, post a creation to your blog with a "Haunted" theme and link back here.  Imaginary bonus points if you also link to the Gingersnap Creations starting point and double imaginary bonus points if you invite others to play along and continue to spin the haunted web throughout blogland.
I'm also submitting this for this week's challenge at Something Completely Different.  The challenge, which you can see here, is to make anything in shades of autumn.  Now what could be easier than that?

Now I am going to be very busy checking all these links!

My favourite team? Well I have several teams I like to follow but my favourite of all is the Australian womens netball team - the Diamonds ... fast, athletic, strong, determined and fantastic to watch ... let's hope for a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games!

interesting question - I love the verb used in different places for supporting a team - in Australia they say 'I barrack for' - always brings up an image of a lively crowd.

My sproting favours are still based in New Zealand rugby - the Hurricanes and the national team the All Blacks

Oh, thanks for the lovely shout out Rinda :)

I don't really do sport. Apart from Formula One when I always supprt Ferrari, does that count?

Love this spooky tag, Rinda! I've had lots of fun scrolling through your blog - you do fabulous work, and I love it that you are an artist AND an avid sports fan (ME TOO!) There aren't too many of us out there (well, at least around here). So.... I am a huge fan of our local NHL team, the Carolina Hurricanes - season ticket holder, in fact. But I grew up in PA, just 100 miles from New York, and so... I'm also a big NY Yankees fan, oh yes I am. Here's hoping we meet up in the post season (oh, the big one is so far off, LOL!!)

Fabulous tag Rinda! The colors in your background are perfect for Halloween. That skull and crossbones is beyond awesome! Love this! Thank you so much for linking my blog candy! Very nice of you!! Have a wonderful day!! Oh, unless being a fan of Sizzix, who shopping for can be a sport, I don't really follow any teams sports!

This is a fun post, Rinda. :o)

My favorite team to cheer for is the Arizona Diamondbacks (I'd say the Cardinals but they are a bit embarrassing so far this season!).

Great tag. Wow, this post has a ton of fun info.

I don't really *do* any sports for the last several years. I used to be a big Steelers fan in the '70's and '80's. Other favorite team was the Bronco's, of course. Couldn't even name one player on either team now, lol.

Love your Halloween tag. My favorite team to root for is the Golden Bears, being a Cal graduate. Congrats on the Giants winning (I am not a baseball fan) but I really thought they were going to drag it out to the last game to win the division.

My favorite team to root for is the DH's softball team--they don't have a name, though!!

Your tag is so cute! If I have to watch sports (which is rare as nobody in our house is a fan) I am a Boston girl all the way! Red Sox and Patriots!

lovely tag, so scary!!! kinda like the bucs...scary bad most of the time, but they have been my team since they started and I guess I just never give up hope. lol I work for the university of florida so the gators SHOULD be my team, but I really don't like orange and blue together like that lol

That tag is wonderful! The team we root for here is a football (soccer) team that my hubbie has supported all his life, Queens Park Rangers. They have started off this season really well, unlike the past few!

Rinda, this is awesome! I love the colors you used for the technique, and the shading around the edges gives it such depth and a great, vintage look. The skull is perfectly creepy, and this is a great Halloween piece!

Thanks for all the great info on the blog candy, too!
