One Warm Coat is a fairly new and wonderful way to turn your gently used or unwanted coat into a nice warm hug for someone in need. It's easy. Donate a warm coat. I bet you have an extra in your closet. Go look for it and then click on this link to find a donation site in your area. If there isn't a site near you, consider organizing a local drive. There's information for doing that on the website as well. I think this is mainly for my friends here in the U.S., but it's an easy idea to take globally.
Freecylce. After pulling out your holiday "stuff," did you find unwanted ornaments, decorations, etc.? Have your kids outgrown all their ski clothes? Freecycle provides a great way to pass these on to others who will use them, rather than having them end up in a landfill somewhere. It's a wonderful, web-based program that is organized in local areas. Click on this link to find out more. I got rid of about 3 dozen unwanted ornaments, a medium size bag of Christmas decorations, ten holiday trays and outgrown ski clothes in less than five minutes! And the recipients were all very appreciative! Freecyle is global, so my international friends can check it out, too!

I love freecycle, have got some great things as well as finding homes for unwanted stuff
Love your tags,Rinda...especially the Santa one.
I use freecycle all the time...have got rid of loads...as well as picking up some great stuff.
Love the Santa Stamp. The tags are beautiful! I'll have to check out free cycle...I usually just take everything to a donation center.
Those are wonderful ideas. I hate to throw anything away or see it wasted..it's so good to see more and more donation centres being set up
Good for you :-) I love freecycle, and I even made a friend via it too!! (No, she wasn't being listed there....)
More gorgeous tags :-)
super tags as usual! Lucy turned me onto Freecycle and it's been amazing! I'm going to look for a warm coat donation place near us, last year Dana took a bunch from us down to the small central valley town she works in.
The tags are lovely Rinda. I love the colour choices - soft and warm-looking.
Don't know about warm coat donation - I think my local homeless shelter would be my best bet. But J's school have a "Giving Tree" where they can put gifts for the homeless shelter and the family refuge too. We have sent in a few things and I must have a look to see if there is any more - thanks for the memory jog!
I agree about Freecycle. We offered a wardrobe there, which was left by the previous owners of our house and didn't really suit J's needs. It was snapped up in a day by a couple whose son had swung on theirs and smashed it!! Such a useful way to dispose of it, rather than tearing it down and dumping it.
Love these tags. What a beautiful collection you have now. Thanks for the link to freecycle. I'll look to see if there's something here. Most of what we give away goes to our local Goodwill/ABVI. They operate several very nice stores here.
Freecycle is the BEST!!!!!
