Me on Monday: A weekend check-in

What kind of weekend was it?
It was a:
-watching Clara and her team mates run in an intrasquad, practice track meet (and capturing item #7 someone dressed for the season for the winter photography scavenger hunt - Clara's dressed for the track season in her uniform!)
-art journaling
-travel plan making (Clara and I will go visit Eastern Kentucky University in a few weeks; plus, Henry's coming home for break a week from Thursday) kind of weekend.
It was also a:
-Friday night date night (love that phrase stolen from Deb Turtle) with Paul at one of our favorite local restaurants
-Paul assembling the new grill, so we have to have people over for a BBQ
-load after load of laundry
-list making for things to do during my mid-term break this week kind of weekend.
But mostly it was a:
-Hanging out with Aria, trying to keep her calm and rested, as she recovers from major surgery for a torn ACL ((poor thing will be confined, with the cone of shame, for about ten days total; and then still have limited activity for many more weeks) kind of weekend.
How was your weekend?

I'm sorry to hear about the poor patient! I hope her week is one of pain free recovery..and that yours is full of good things.

They look very cute in those running uniforms

My niece graduates from Univ. of the Cumberlands in KY in May! Kentucky is far, far away from the west coast but she's done great. Even has driven herself there and back the last two years. All your college trips with Clara sound fun.

I loved college visits with Sarah when she was Clara's age. We had some great trips together. Poor Aria! Just the collar is a pain, to say nothing of the surgery!

Poor pup, that certainly puts a damper on things.

Poor Aria. Dogs always look so sad wearing those cones. My friend took his dog for cruciate ligament surgery last week and you can see she hasn't forgiven him just yet! Have fun on the college tour with your girl.

Sounds like it was a nice weekend, except for the pup!

Good luck with Aria in the coming weeks - that's got to be hard keeping her quiet.
