Vignette #3: The Milk Thief
Finishing up my breakfast while catching up on my blog reading, I push my empty cereal bowl aside. My heart breaks as I read Deb's blog post about having to say farewell to her beloved cat. My heart is warmed by the pictures in her tribute. I look up, and there's my cat acting just like Deb's Fancy Jane! My photographer's eye urges me to capture the moment and tells me that this image will look even better in black and white.
Vignette #4: Time Warp
Walking the dogs, I stop to let them sniff around. I look up and there's a camper which looks like it came from a different century. It's a classic and still in operation! My photographer's eye loves the curve of the camper and how the colors in the plant pop against the cool silver and blue of its body. I snap the picture and double check the date on my iphone to make sure it's really 2013.

Hi Rinda Love your photos today, especially the caravan, what a find.
One of my cats, my old boy Rudi, sits and waits for my porridge plate. As soon as I carry it through to eat he is there anxious that I put it down for him to lick around for the last little scrapings.
What lovely photos and descriptions. Both our cats sit and wait whilst we eat yogurt and as soon as we put the pot down their little nose is init trying to lick out anything that is left!
Over here we call that a caravan and there is a trend at the moment for restoring vintage ones like this and then taking them to weekend meet-ups. That's a wonderfully evocative photo
love the vintage caravan photo.
Love that caravan. Near where I work there is a caravan very similar to that one but it is new so someone must still be making retro ones. I really love it as it is the most beautiful turquoise colour.
Great shots Rinda - both are very evocative and capture the feeling well!
both are such sweet images, evoking simple times and pleasures.
Love the old camper; always thought it would have been great fun to have had one when the kids were young. We haven't had a kitty in the house in many, many years, but our beloved dog, Sam, used to finish the milk in our cereal bowls every morning. It took us weeks after he died before we stopped putting our bowls down for him.
Great shots - what a cheeky cat and I love the blossoms surrounding the caravan :)
Boo is always hanging around when there's flood on the go,hoping someone will leave scraps!...great photos
Alison xx
Once upon a time we had a caravan very like that one!!
Your treatment of that lovely old caravan is perfect! I am really enjoying this series ...
I wonder if the camper is a "Tear Drop" camper? We saw a show about old time campers on TV and they looked something like that camper only a bit smaller. This type of camper was all the rage in the 30s and 40s. I love any photo of cats or kittens.
Aw, your sweet little kitty...thanks for the Fancy Jane shout out.
LOVE the camper! And I really like your photographer's eye posts, Rinda! xo
I think that is a tear drop camper. Some people up the road restored an old one & apparently that style has quite a following.
Great photos & commentary!
What a neat looking trailer. I got a real chuckle out of your cat picture thinking back on the cat my sister and I used to have way back when.
