Father's Day, 2012

We headed out to Galway (on the west coast of Ireland) for the weekend. The weather report said that Sunday would be our best chance of finding sunshine, so we took a chance and booked the ferry out to Inis Mor (the largest of the Aran Islands). And it was glorious!  A bike ride in the Irish country side.  A perfect way to celebrate Father's Day for Paul. What did you do?

p.s. Tomorrow is the first official day of summer!!! You what that means.

Sounds a perfect day...we had 2 kids working and one away on holiday...so we went out for lunch just the two of us.

you did very well with the weather - we had fog and rain so postponed the planned ice cream sundae for the next time we get a day of summer in Scotland

Lovely family shot Rinda! We had two kids working the dinner shift, so we went out to Perkins for lunch - apparently a LOT of other people had the same idea!

What a great photo! We had a great dinner at Conesus Lake with Matt, and hung out here for several hours. Nice to have a kid here to help celebrate!

Father's Day was quiet here - Hubby prefers a lie-in to breakfast in bed and our weather wasn't nearly as sunny as yours. Have fun in Ireland - I've never been!
