PPF: A Peek Inside my Sketchbook and Art Journal

It's been a long time since I've pulled out my sketchbook and art journal, but there's something about spring which pushed my muse in that direction. So, I'm linking up with Paint Party Friday to share this water color painting in my art journal.
And a few sketches in my sketchbook, featuring "Things I See on a Run."  The second deer is kindof goofy, but I like the first deer pretty well. And I enjoyed trying to figure out how best to paint those awesome flowers ("Pride of Madeira") that are everywhere on the coast side these days.  Where is your spring time muse pushing you?

That top sketch is really good Rinda - I like the whole tone of these combined entries, I like how they record specific parts of your runs.

Every time you post one of these sketchbook pages, I'm inspired to try again. I like both deer very much, as well as the first page---such soft, lovely colors.

I love them all: the courage to have a go is to be applauded in itself, but to have talent as well makes it extra special to look at. I really like that whimsical deer!

Your sketches are all wonderful and wouldn't I just enjoy seeing those special flowers ... nothing like that here in Virginia!
Springtime with the leaves coming back on the trees and blossoms bursting everywhere has me snapping photos left and right ... so much beauty to enjoy each and every day
Wishing you a happy and peaceful weekend Rinda

I actually like the "goofy" deer! I immediately recognized the "Pride of Madeira", you captured it very well.
My spring muse gets me in the garden. I so enjoy digging in the dirt right now.

My muse has been slightly stimied lately be a busy schedule, but I have a photography date with a friend on Thursday . . . and then we'll see where it takes me!
