Hello Monday

Hello Monday . . .  a meme started by Lisa Leonard, and hello to an old-fashioned pay phone spied outside the Highway 1 Brewing Company which we visited with friends over the weekend.  You don't see these much anymore, but it's necessary at this locale as there's very poor cell service along this remote stretch of the highway.  Paul thought it was funny that I was taking a photograph of a phone, with a phone.  A relatively quiet week ahead for me. . .
Hello Book Group . . . this month we read Into the Beautiful North by Luis Albert Urea. Karen Walker of Random Reflections recommended this once, and everyone seems to have enjoyed it. I enjoyed the first ten pages of the book and then made the mistake of leaving it on the floor next to the bed when I went to work. I came home to find that you-know-who chewed it up into an unreadable mess.
Hello High School Baseball . . . Henry's got a couple games this week.
Hello Penultimate Week of School . . . This semester seems to have gone forever, and I'll be happy when it's over.
Hello Sketchbook . . . It's been calling to me lately, and it's fun to start drawing again.
What are you saying hello to this week?

Monday is drawing to a close down here - I have a week of readjusting to a new term, rain and some solo parenting as TE is away for work.

Love your comment about Paul and the phones. Monday is just starting here (it's 5:50). I'm looking forward to some blog reading, scrapbooking and decluttering.

Love that you took a picture of a phone with a phone:). Have a good week!

I saw a real pay phone in a pub in Philly yesterday! Really took me aback. I'm hoping to get to some artsy stuff at some point this week myself!

I love the old pay phone! Looks like it's had a lot of use.

I love the old payphone. Someone round here has one of the British red box ones in their garden and I'm going to see if I can get a picture of it

Loved Paul's comment about your taking the picture of the phone. This new week I am saying hello to work. It seems that is all I eat, breathe, and think of anymore. No time for scrapbooks, blogs, or much else. Gotta find a job that doesn't monopolize so much time and pay meager wages.

Despite mobiles [cell phones] we still have phone boxes everywhere...sadly not many of the old red box ones still around though.
I'm saying 'hello' to a lot of work this term...and hopefully a lot of gardening as well[ yes...the sun is still shining].

I haven't seen a payphone in the wild in ages! Though there is one inside a gas station I pass on my way home from work. or there used to be. I haven't been in there in awhile.

Is it funny to be taking a photo of a phone with a phone - hadn't thought of it that way before!

This week I'm saying Hello to covering new material & starting new chapters in my classes, a book club meeting here tomorrow (finished the book since I don't have anything around to chew it up!), and the end of the Finding Photo Freedom workshop at BPC.

Lucky is the same way if we leave him inside - has no concept of what to chew and what to leave alone. Or does he...?

I'm saying hello to Carrie's boyfriend's parents this week - having them over for dinner as a meet-the-parents evening. Hm...

Great photo Rinda. I am saying hello to finishing a quilt and packing up for the last term at uni!

Sorry to hear about the book. I think you would have liked it. It's the All Rochester Reads book this year. Love the photo!

Paul has a sense of humor. LOL Hey cuz, I think you might have an item for your scavenger hunt. You certainly don't see too many pay phones in Houston.

We were spotting old phone boxes whilst out wandering the other day. Your penultimate school comment made me smile. Princess headed off for her first day of this term saying she wished she knew when her exams were as she could count down the days....

Hope you have a good week. Thanks for the good wishes for Thursday too.
