i used to live in auburn, calif. for a few years and loved going to the pumpkin festival in your hometown! the colors in your photos really reflect the warmth and comfort to be had there.
Love the colours and light. Never had a tamale either but then tortillas until recently were sold in the exotic imported/world food section of most supermarkets :)
I had my first tamale in May in Oregon at the Farmer's Market, and became a great fan. We went back the next week at lunchtime so I could have another one. We have one great Mexican restaurant near here, and their tamales are very good, but not as good as the ones I had in Ashland.
In my ignorance and due to the lack of credible Mexican food down here, I have never had a tamale ... must rectify the situation!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteJacky took the words straight from my head! Those pumpkins look magnificent.
ReplyDeleteWow, it really is the hub of all things pumpkin, Half Moon Bay, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteI was trying to guess what the top right picture was of! I've never had a tamale either. I think I need to experiment!
ReplyDeleteYay, pumpkins! :)
ReplyDeleteAh, the pumkins at last! Lovely photos, though I've no real idea what a corn dog is .. off to google :).
ReplyDeleteThose all look delicious!

ReplyDeleteI've never had a tamale or a corn dog. I'm not entirely what the latter is, although I hear them mentioned occasionally on US shows. Great photos x
