Henry and his girlfriend looked beautiful as they headed off to their prom. I really enjoyed taking a few photographs. I had taken some notes from this tutorial on posing couples, in order to come up with this pose:
It would have been nicer if they were actually holding hands, but Henry was not really interested in me giving instructions. So, I settled for a few candid shots:
And, a group shot of the boys. Most of the group are soccer players, and they asked me to take their picture (which kindof annoyed Henry), but I didn't mind. Because even though Prom is often about the girls and their dresses, I have a soft spot in my heart for these boys.
Maybe I'll grow into taking portraits of girls, but, for now, I prefer the boys. What about you?

Your candid shots are just lovely!
What absolutely gorgeous photos and I love the detail on the back of Henry's girlfriend's dress. I love taking photos of girls because they are always so 'up for it' that it is an easy task.
I love these photos especially the one where they are looking back (not holding hands) and the one with the sunglasses on the back of the head.
You have a knack of getting some really great shots well done you.
ps Your son is a real good looker bet he turns heads.

And,unlike Karen,I don't find girls are 'up for' photos......unless they are posing in a very 'over the top' way!!

Oh, wow! Don't they look fine? Isn't her dress so pretty? Truly, pictures to hold on to and treasure. My boy isn't keen on having his picture taken much at the minute, though he did pose with his car for me last week. TSO on the other hand..
