ZIZO #19: Wild flowers

Spring has arrived in full bloom here on the coast. The other day I was walking the dogs and stopped to capture this patch of wild flowers - zoomed in to see the delicate beauty and zoomed out to see the raucous wonder. It made me think of that wonderful quote by A.A. Milne: "Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them."
To check out other ZIZO pairings, check out Helena's blog here.

They always look so pretty 'en masse'

Gorgeous close up - always amazed at the delicate markings and colours in flowers - weeds or not. I like that quote too :)

I didn't know that quote, so thank-you! Wonderful zizo - your camera work is very sharp.

that quote says it all.

The zoom in shot is just stunning. All those lovely veins; no way you could see that from a distance! I love wildflowers, but you don't see much of those around here.

Oh lovely. Every time I get around to thinking about snapping the flowers, the rain blows through and wreaks havoc on them. Maybe I should zoom in on the petals on the ground.
