Look Up//Look Down #36: In the Back Back

I went out to the back-back over the weekend (the lot we own behind our house) to check the afternoon light for a family portrait session.  I was struck by the intense green of the apple tree and the pittosporum hedge and thought they made a nice late summer pair for Helena's weekly photography meme, Look Up//Look Down. Are things still green where you are?

Your pittosporum is looking very healthy - we had to pull ours out this winter but are looking to replace them.
Lovely colour Rinda!

I bought a pittosporum as a small tree when I became a Christian. It is now a 6'+ hedge and it stays green throughout the year too. Love it. BJ

Really nice photos, Rinda. Things will start recovering around here once the intense heat is gone, though we do tend to have a lot of green year round - as long as everything gets a few doses of water each day.

The apple looks delicious, Rinda. About being green - many things are just dry here, and some trees, like the Chinese Pistachio is turning leaves.

Was looking for an apple for an art class I took this weekend. May I use your apple photo for my next art project?
