Hello Monday

Hello Monday (a meme started by Lisa Leonard) . . .
Hello autumn veggies at the farmer's market . . . bought brussel sprouts, green beans, cauliflower, artichokes and broccoli. I'm missing the summer fruit but it was fun to talk with the local bee keeper who makes these terrific candles in her kitchen.
Hello healthy eating . . . This week, I'm planning to make tostadas; tri-tip; beef/tofu and broccoli; teriyaki chicken with dry braised green beans; hamburgers; and pesto ravioli with broccoli and chicken. What's on your menu this week?
Hello furniture moving as we put everything back onto our beautiful floors.
Hello darker evenings and lighter mornings as we turned the clocks back this weekend.
Hello fingers crossed that Clara makes the basketball team and that Paul has a good week (he was pretty tired today after a mid-cycle chemo infusion).
Hello last two college applications  for Henry. He's sent eight out so far (three today). These last two require different essays/writing submissions than the others, so that means a bit more work. But he's pretty committed to wrapping them up in the next week so he can be done with the process.
What are you saying hello to this week?

Lovely post - and photo.

Just decided yesterday to use up more of my candle making stash for Christmas this year - decluttering another corner of the house. Loving the autumn veggies too - artichokes are a favourite here.

Have a great week.

The candle colours look so appropriate for the Fall in your beautiful photograph of them. Glad you are getting your house sorted. The new flooring sounds wonderful.
Here's to a good week for you all.

yep, I have a stew in the crockpot, or slow cooker as we call them here, as I type too.

Your college applications sound like lots of work - we are limited here to five choices only, so that cuts down a bit!

all the best to Paul x

Actually I'm trying not to think about saying " good-bye" to Sarah and Caleb this week. We've been blessed with an extra-long visit, but it's never long enough.

I'm saying hello to routine after a week of disruption thanks to Sandy. Your meal plan sounds scrumptious!

Gorgeous candles :) Our meals, once again, will be very simple - The Doctor doesn't have time to do much after work so they have to be as quick and easy as possible. I'm looking forward to being able to cook again!

Love those candles and their beautiful colors. I feel in the mood for some Louisiana Gumbo. Just waiting for a cold spell to hit so that it will warm the house while it is cooking.

the candles look lovely, gorgeous colours. Not sure what we will be eating this week but think it will be sausages and jacket spuds tonight in honour of bonfire night!

I only work until 12.30 on a Monday and after an hour long dog walk in the countryside, I have managed to cook three days worth of healthy meals in one afternoon! Chilli con carne with a polenta crust, roast chicken and salmon with vegetable rice and green beans.
How nice not to have to wonder what I've got to cook for dinner until Thursday ;-)

Those candles look so pretty!

I'm saying hello to COLD as our heating isn't working, brrrr.

Good luck to Henry with the college applications!

P.S. I have been emailing you and not heard back - I know you might just be busy but I thought I'd mention it here in case my emails are disappearing into your junk box! x

Such lovely candles! We've pretty much switched over to winter foods here. Long cooking stews, creamy soups & roasted root veggies

those candles are gorgeous - i can imagine buying several in different colors for a stunning center piece.

i am in the process of moving my classroom and painting the backdrop for our school variety show - so, hello to long days and nights of good sleep (due to exhaustion.) :-)

I have been so excited about your new floors, Rinda! I know you were wanting them last summer when Carrie and I visited, so they have been a long time coming.

Super cool candles in the photo you have here! And I'm saying prayers for each member of your little family as you all have some major life challenges going on right now. Hugs to each of you...and an extra big one for you personally. Love! xo

Hello to you Rinda. Those candles are really beautiful.
I love all the veg you bought, I think I prefer it to the summer fruit which was very disappointing here this year.
