Monthly Make: Operation Write Home Cards

This weekend I'm getting together to craft with a group of friends at an annual crop we call "Scramp Camp."  The organizers have asked participants to contribute cards to "Operation Write Home." So, this morning, I pulled out a whole bunch of card fronts and stamped images I found the last time I organized my stash and started making cards. I ended up making about 20 cards in just a few hours! I'm calling this my "monthly make" for September. It was great to get these things out of my stash and into a usable form.  Do you have a stash of images or card fronts lurking in your stash? If so, when was the last time your turned them into cards?

  1. I always gather some drawings and photos and make cards from them. So I always have some of them in my stash. I think the last time I made cards from them was beginning of September. Now I think about Christmas cards.

  2. Oh I do this Rinda, I'll make some cards which I sell to raise funds for work. The last little batch I made early in September. At the moment I am making ATC's as my (almost) daily creative outlet. I love your purple hearts.

  3. These are lovely. Even though I am constantly making cards, and accumulating pieces of things I don't use, I don't often go back and start there. I should set aside some time and see what I can do with them.

  4. I have lots of images ready stamped....and do use them often...though I really should use more of them before I stamp anymore at all!

  5. I make a card almost every day--for all occasions. They are kept in an indexed box until sent out. I started doing this when I saw the prices of cards had risen to a point where I refused to buy ready-made.

  7. Such a good idea to have some cards to hand. Yours are lovely. I usually have some on the go. My 6 year old granddaughter is really into stamping!

  8. lovely cards! I never make them because I so rarely send or give them, though I still own all my stamps from back in the days when I thought I would make cards so that counts for something right?

  13. I have a project folder for such bits, cut down pieces of pp, extra stamped images etc. I often do try and use them up. I make cards quite a bit - love being able to get things out of my stash and off to make people smile.
