Storytelling Sunday: A Snapshot of Love

When I captured this couple in my viewfinder on a photo walk in Barcelona, I was transported back to thoughts of myself at the same age, enjoying lazy Sunday mornings in the summer.  Paul and I lounging around in bed.  Eating Noah's bagels slathered with cream cheese. Drinking cappuccino and enjoying the New York Times. And I remember thinking, "Could there be anything better in the whole world than being in love with your best friend?"

This story, told with a picture and (just a few) words, is offered as part of Sian's Storytelling Sunday - Year 2.  For other great stories, check out this link.

  2. There is nothing better than being in love with your best friend. Monday we will be celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary and it seems like yesterday.

  3. No, absolutely not! As you know we have been married 25 years this year and Hugh is still my best friend. Love your photo and thank you for letting us know that you have a best friend in Paul too :) (hope he is doing ok, thinking of him often) x

  5. Definitely not! Your photo reminded me of days spent like that - in parks not on benches, but me studying and Wookie sleeping after work.

    Thanks for the reminder.

Hoping that you and Paul have many more lazy mornings with bagels and cream cheese!

  12. A great shot Rinda. I hope you get to enjoy many more lazy Sunday mornings in the future. I'm quite looking forward to a time when my daughter no longer at 6.30am. I think somebody forgot to tell her she's a teenager now!
