The German soccer star Michael Balleck is doing Euro 2012 commentary in the United States for ESPN. Although not a fan of the German national team or any of his club teams, I've always found him very attractive! I think he's doing a serviceable job as a commentator. He definitely looks a bit nervous, but I find that endearing. He's also polite, but firm, in his opinions and very knowledgeable! I think he should definitely continue announcing . Since he caught my eye, I decided to sketch him for Ayala's "June Guys" challenge. Here's the photograph I used as my inspiration:
Just like the David Beckham sketch I did, the man is much better looking in real life than in my sketch. But I certainly don't mind staring at the photo while I sketch! LOL!
Are there athletes you find particularly attractive? Or sports announcers?
I am obviously watching the wrong sports!
ReplyDeleteI had a thing for Doug Howlett of the NZ rugby team - if you google him you'll get a very different male face to sketch
ReplyDeleteNO sports announcers, though the boys here despair at my reasons for watching rugby :) I definitely think I should do more sketching..
ReplyDeleteI could definitely look at that face all day....and night. Great job sketching. Got to go turn on ESPN. (click, click, click)
ReplyDeleteAs you might imagine....I'm no supporter of the German team...though after a recent [rare] win by an English team [Chelsea,I think]over a German team....Gary Lineker said "football is a game where 22 players kick a ball around for 90 minutes and then the Germans win....only this time they didn't"!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI must admit though....he is easy on the eye.
I like wrestlers, not so much because I find them attractive as I find their bodies interesting - the way the muscles ripple & bulge. Not in a sexual way but in a scientific way
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anyone off hand, but I think your sketch is very good!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so well with your sketches. I admire you.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful sketch Rinda. I always found men hard to draw:)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, he can inspire anyone! hehehe Great job!
