My blog friend, Ayala, is hosting a "June Guys" challenge, to create at least four manly faces during this month. You can read all about the challenge at this link. Since I'll be glued to pub televisions following Euro 2012 during the month of June, I thought I'd join the challenge and plan to sketch at least four soccer players. My first manly face is a pencil sketch, based on this image:
It's David Beckham, of course! Or at least my sketchy rendition of him. . .
If you want to join Ayala's challenge, you can grab this blog button and join the linky (here):
Hope to see a few of you participate. Anyone else planning to follow Euro 2012? If so, which team is your favorite?

You couldn't have chosen a better player to start with,Rinda....and although I'm not a big football fan.....I'm sure you know which team I'll be supporting!!
We're getting excited about the Euros, too! The Tomboy is collecting stickers, The Doctor is planning his diary around the fixtures, and The Boy is trying to avoid it all.... No prizes for guessing our team!!
I too think David Beckham is an excellent choice
I'm not a massive football fan, we are all about the rugby here! But your clever sketch has reminded me that I had intended to try a bit more drawing ..maybe over rthe holidays..
Beckham is a good place to start. We hardly watch soccer except during the Olympics but I'll have to see if Euro 2012 is on any stations here. If only so I can stop with the non stop football Mayhem watches.
That's a fab sketch of David ;)

Have fun with the challenge. I like your David Beckham. Enjoy your week.
I shall be watching by default, as dad is here! Our support will be shared between England and Spain...though as DH works in Germany, he may be divided three ways!
Alison xx
I like the sketch! I am not a football fan but I'm sure it will be on in the background as I have two younger brothers!
Now that's what I call inspiration, that man can inspire anyone lol
Great sketch! We don't really watch any sport in this household. We don't even usually watch the Olympics, but I think we'll have to watch some of it this year and support team GB as it's all going on here!
