Photo Walk Class - Princeton Harbor

Over the weekend, I taught a "Photo Walk Class," starting from my studio in the Princeton Harbor. After a discussion of lenses and camera settings, we set off for our walk. This series of classes covers technical aspects of photography and composition, and includes both portrait and still life photography  We worked with various depth of field settings and took some nice still life photographs. I took the mail boxes up top. Cindy took these flowers:
And Maureen took this shot of buoys:

Next we focused on finding interesting backgrounds for portraits.  Here's the portrait I took of Cindy:
Cindy's portrait of Maureen:
And Maureen's portrait of me:
Finally, my favorite shot of the day was this portrait that I took of Cindy and Maureen together:
I had a great time! Next month I'm going to lead another Photo Walk. We'll be going to the Half Moon Bay cemetery and working with principles of angle, shutter speed and props for portraits. If you're local and want to join us, email me!

These are great photos, Rinda, but what I love the most about them is the fun that you girls had together. It shines through in every shot! Awesome!!! xo
