Setting an Intention for April: Card Making
This month, I am continuing my exploration of the various parts of my creative life by setting an intention to focus on card making. For many years, I taught card making classes and bought tons of stamps for cards. Now, the supplies sit lonely and unused. I purged a lot of them two years ago. Am I ready to give the rest of them up? I don't know. I really am not sure where card making fits in my creative life (or if it does at all), but I am looking forward to the journey.
Aha! I've been wondering what was next..
ReplyDeleteBeing a teacher of card classes myself, I'll be very interested in this next intention.
ReplyDeleteSince it's my favorite paper crafting activity, I'll be looking forward to this as well. My intention this month (once we get home again) is Project Life!
ReplyDeleteI'll certainly be looking forward to this....and to seeing you this month!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there will be much crafting for me in April!
Hopefully once you dig into those supplies again you'll enjoy it once more! x
ReplyDeleteI guess you will find out after you have made a few cards - whether you still like it or should give it up. I still enjoy it and sell my cards in my Etsy shop. It's fun and I always love when someone buys a card. I used to teach card making classes for ten years and like you, I still have tons of supplies.
ReplyDeleteI just sent out a handmade card this morning and am hoping to get a few more in the mail this week. I enjoy making cards, but have learned that I it's best to create when I need it as I don't enjoy as much just creating cards to have on hand. Looking forward to hearing how the month goes & what conclusions you come to.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you decide to do!
ReplyDeleteI am loving that you are so intentional month after month - and I can't wait to see some cards. Carry on!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture you choose for this months intention. Looking forward to seeing how you feel about card making.
ReplyDeleteWhat you wrote could have been written by me Rinda :-).
ReplyDeleteI haven't taught in quite some time and keep saying I miss making cards and still have plenty of stamps here waiting patiently!
I look forward to seeing what you make.
Such a pretty posy photo you posted here too!

I have followed your adventures and reflections on art journalling with great interest and look forward to this month's journey too. I have loads of stamps languishing too ...
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what April would bring. I too seem to have gotten away from card making and all those stamps just sit there staring me in the face.
