Week #13 in the Be Still 52 Still Life Photography class was about going back to basics. For me, I decided to use this prompt to try to create some still lifes with my son's baby rattle that I found a few weeks ago when looking for a spoon. I added a few other baby things, including a plaster mold we made when Henry was four months old.
Experimented with different lighting and depths of field
I don't think I can choose a favorite.
Can you?
I think I like the first one best
ReplyDeleteI like the fourth one best, and like that there is a glimpse of you in the rattle.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom one, then the top (though the footprint's not so easy to make out in that one). Lovely cards - I'll be back tomorrow!! ;o)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the third - just appeals to me the most!
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the last one in the post as you can see all the elements really clearly. What a lovely idea to document such precious items

Mmmm, tricky! These are lovely little objects ... I think I like the last one best as the little rattle and rocking animal (dog?) are both sharpest. Though then the little plaster foot is less visible. I guess that's the thing with depth of field - choosing the focus?
ReplyDeleteI like how you are experimenting Rinda, it's a good way to practice and learn more. I love the baby rattle and how you used special objects as your still life. Beautiful all of them.
ReplyDeleteI always find it interesting to look at differing arrangements and perspectives. I like the last one the best.
ReplyDeleteI like the light on the fourth one. Treasured items!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the last one? I really like the blue you have chosen as a background and I'm wondering what it would look like with a closer crop, so we just see the blue?
ReplyDeleteFor this idea I like the one where everything is in focus. What lovely things Rinda.
ReplyDeleteI think that last one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThey're all wonderful but the third just speaks to me.
