Setting an Intention for March: Art Journaling
This year, as part of my "one little word" (selfhood), I am exploring the various areas of my art work to see what I wish to do more of, less of, or abandon all together. In January, I focused on sketching. In February, I focused on scrapbooking. This month, I am setting an intention to focus on art journaling to see where that fits in my creative life.
I like your plan of focussing on one thing, with intention, every month. And I'm looking forward to seeing what you create in March
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a monthly intention to keep your creative spirit flowing, Rinda. And your photo today is so beautiful - looks like a great shot for a notecard.
ReplyDeleteOh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my friend! ;o) xo
You inspired me with your sketching in January. I have always wanted to have a try at watercolours and I've signed up for a local class, starting in June.
ReplyDeleteGood intention of focussing on one thing a month, looking forward to seeing how you get on with art journalling
ReplyDeleteLovely shot for Be Still! I haven't decided what I'm focusing on this month (yet) but I'm starting to think it would be a lot simpler if I had a few less passions! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a very elegant photo, Rinda, full of interesting colour contrasts. Very delicate too. Looking forward to seeing more of your art journalling this month too.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of focussing on one thing each month. Looking forward to seeing your art journalling this month :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shot - I like the flower colour and shapes. Hope you have a creative month.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! I am taking the idea of new years resolutions and making them just month long. This month I am not buying any new books and only reading the ones I already have in my to be read pile. Last month I tried giving up sugar. It didn't go well. :) January was '3 positive things every day' where at the end of the day I had to write out 3 good things that happened every night. Sometimes I was really reaching - "Salted the gravy correctly" - but it was an interesting exercise.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing how your month goes!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of focusing on one thing a month. I must do that instead of constantly jumping around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo. It looks very tranquil and in keeping with the intention. Have fun with your month of art journaling.
