Setting an Intention for March: Art Journaling

This year, as part of my "one little word" (selfhood), I am exploring the various areas of my art work to see what I wish to do more of, less of, or abandon all together. In January, I focused on sketching. In February, I focused on scrapbooking. This month, I am setting an intention to focus on art journaling to see where that fits in my creative life.

  1. I like your plan of focussing on one thing, with intention, every month. And I'm looking forward to seeing what you create in March

  2. I love the idea of a monthly intention to keep your creative spirit flowing, Rinda. And your photo today is so beautiful - looks like a great shot for a notecard.

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my friend! ;o) xo

  3. You inspired me with your sketching in January. I have always wanted to have a try at watercolours and I've signed up for a local class, starting in June.

  5. Lovely shot for Be Still! I haven't decided what I'm focusing on this month (yet) but I'm starting to think it would be a lot simpler if I had a few less passions! :)

  6. That's a very elegant photo, Rinda, full of interesting colour contrasts. Very delicate too. Looking forward to seeing more of your art journalling this month too.

  9. That is a great idea! I am taking the idea of new years resolutions and making them just month long. This month I am not buying any new books and only reading the ones I already have in my to be read pile. Last month I tried giving up sugar. It didn't go well. :) January was '3 positive things every day' where at the end of the day I had to write out 3 good things that happened every night. Sometimes I was really reaching - "Salted the gravy correctly" - but it was an interesting exercise.
