Devil's Slide Fence (Good Fences Link-Up)
I've always enjoyed photographs of fences. They offer such variety and visual interest. It's a fascination shared by my blog friend Carola Bartz, whose blog offers stunning photography and stories of a German Expat in Northern California. She was the inspiration for including "a fence" in a previous Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. So, imagine my happy surprise when she linked up recently to a new-to-me weekly meme called "Good Fences Link-Up, sponsored by The Run*A*Round Ranch Report blog. I've kindof fallen in love with that blog a little bit, for its wonderful photography and cowgirl-up feel, so I wanted to link up with this week's Fences meme. I took this photograph on the Devil's Slide trail, which I blogged about yesterday. If you're interested in fences (or just good photography), go check out Carola's and TexWisGirl's blogs. You won't be disappointed.
Yes, I am partial to a fence too - and jetties ... great shot!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super photo Rinda x
ReplyDeleteI love pictures which stretch into the distance like this
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful. Oh your first time is perfect. B
ReplyDeleteyou're so sweet! thank you for the compliments AND for sharing your love of fencery! it is an addiction, i'm afraid. :)
ReplyDeleteA good fence for sure.
ReplyDeleteI came here for your Good Fence. Great vanishing point photo. Devil's Slide. Its been years since I was last there. Hmm..maybe an upcoming road trip?
ReplyDeleteCould easily be some highway in Canada....modern road running through rugged mountains.... I had to check the write up to find out where it is ....
ReplyDeleteIt could be a highway in Utah as well. Rinda is such an unusual name but I have a friend here named Rinda as well.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I looked at your other post, too and that is an amazing road...and a bit scary, too! Nice photo of good fences! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat a great angle you shot this fence at. Now following your blog.
ReplyDeleteI live in the SF Bay Area - very familiar with the Devils Slide area. This is a much prettier view than the ones we get on the news after a good rain! Love the shadow effect of the fence in this photo!
ReplyDeleteGreat fence photo --especially the jutting rock formations behind it.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll take up your scavenger hunt challenge, although I can't imagine where I might run into a few of the listed scenes. But that's the challenge, isn't it?
Love Carola's blog, too, and her photography is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteA really great photo...good to have you on the fence with the rest of us...
ReplyDeleteI love fences, too, so I'm off to check out the link. Love your photo!
ReplyDeleteLove the angle you've taken it on. Last year when you had fence as one of the hunt items I thought I'd take pictures of a bunch of different fences and do something with them but so far that hasn't happened. :)
