Holiday Crafting: Christmas Cards and Gift Card Holders

I had a very productive morning - I made 20 Christmas cards and 8 gift card holders! I worked with the Club Scrap Gnome for the Holidays Stamp/Stencil set and the matching card blanks, which made things really fast, easy and fun. Most of the cards I made were really simple:
But some of them had a few more bells and whistles:
I had so much fun making the cards that I found some little manila envelopes that I thought would make good gift card holders, and I stamped on those, too!
Around lunch time, I looked at my completed stack of goodies and smiled broadly.
It was a good morning indeed. I also got my order of photo Christmas cards today. So, now all I have to do is work on addressing envelopes! Am I the last one to be getting my cards in the mail?

  2. I should think you did smile....a very productive morning.
Making cards based on a theme with one set of supplies really does make it all much quicker and easier [though I do still like making the occasional 'individual' card].
I love the variety you've managed with such limited supplies....and the gnome is pretty cute.

  7. Definitely a productive morning - I'd be smiling too! In fact, I think I'd be smiling just coloring in all those gnomes! My Christmas cards went out last week, but they were totally uninspired family portraits cards with a free download from the Becky Higgins site. At least they are done.

  8. You've been very busy - congrats on getting all that done. I just mailed all off our cards yesterday. I know the Europe ones will be late but hoping not by much but I'm pretty sure the Canada & US ones will reach their destinations in time.

  9. Mine went in the mail yesterday ... without Sean's signature ... he said "you sign for me" but when i looked at the hours i spent making them and then putting on labels, and putting notes inside, i said "nope, you sign your own name or you aren't included" he chose to not be included...

saving the gnomes for next year!

  11. Some of your cards are so funny, Rinda. Well done. All my cards are already in the post because they mostly go abroad and if you don't put them in the post by Dec. 10, they are not guaranteed to reach other European countries by Xmas !!!! xxx

  15. It does look like a fun productive morning. I had made all my cards early and we had plenty of time to sign & address them while we were iced in a few weekends ago, so they went out then.

  16. What a gorgeous set of stamps and stamped bits. The sentiment made me smile. UK cards were sent when I got back and I'm handing out some today too.
