Look Up//Look Down #34: A Summer Weekend

For this week's pair of photographs looking up and looking down (following along with a meme created by Helena), I decided to share some highly saturated colors of a summer weekend. Looking up at the new sign for the new nanobrewery in town and down at the counter with dinner preparations (a spinach salad with strawberries, marinating tomatoes and olives to go into pasta, and a glass of wine).
I'm not ready to let go of summer yet I guess. Are you?

  1. The saturation is by no means overdone ... I love the vibrancy of summer light, it's perky, brilliant and energetic.

I loved seeing your dinner prep photo on IG and it's great to see it again. I have never added strawberries to a salad, in fact, I don't often add fruit to a salad at all ... what else went into yours?

  2. love the tomatoes and olives. I too am clinging to the last remnants of summer and trying to ignore the increasing signs of autumn

  3. I have spinach and strawberries in my morning smoothie today. Our tomatoes are only just starting - summer is definitely not over here. Although I'm noting and quite enjoying the signs that autumn is on its way - my rudebekias are all starting to flower.

  6. I love summer salads. I'm enjoying the slightly cooler temps as Autumn rolls in, but I'll miss the longer days and sunlight. And I really don't love Winter for just that reason!

  8. I love those colours in the first shot! Hmmm, I wonder if raspberries would go in a spinach salad. The tomatoes look really good (well aside from the fact there's olives in there).

  13. I'm definitely not ready to let go of summer, though a bright red leaf was laying on the sidewalk when we were walking so I guess fall is coming! Dinner looks delicious!
