Hello Monday

Hello Monday (a meme started by Lisa Leonard) . . .
Hello to memories of veterans everywhere  . . . including my father featured in the simple layout above. We have a long weekend to recognize Veteran's Day.
Hello basketball . . . Clara made the basketball team at her school! She's looking forward to a lot of good exercise and the chance to make some good friends.
Hello soccer . . . Henry's high school team is making its final selections this week, but the Coach has already asked him to serve as Captain.
Hello hospital . . . yes, again. Paul starts round 6 of chemotherapy on Wednesday, as long as he feels up to it. Truthfully, he's feeling much more tired these days, which is typical as the chemotherapy takes a greater toll on his body the longer he is in the process.
Hello clean linen closet and kitchen bench drawers . . . finished organizing them, and it feels great to have more and better storage  in these two problem areas.
Hello attitude of gratitude . . . it feels good to finally be getting underway on this project.

What are you saying "hello" to this week?

Best wishes to Paul, no doubt his body has a great deal to contend with at the moment.

  7. Congratulations to Clara and Henry!
Hope that the chemo is nearing the final treatment and his body can have time to heal. I'm sure it is a cumulative thing and each one takes its toll on your body a little more. Wishing him a speedy return home.

  8. a busy week for you - hoping that this next round of chemo for Paul doesn't sap his energy too much.
I'm saying hello to cleaning! Lots of weekends ahead that are going to be busy so I need to get a jump start. Then on Friday I except to have fun at the wedding of the girl who grew up across the street from us.

  9. Your layout reminds me that I still have to do a photo album of pictures left to me by my two uncles that served in WWII. Thanks!

  12. Busy week - hope Clara & Henry enjoy their sporting teams, Paul's chemo goes as smoothly as possible and that you continue to declutter.

I always think of 'Rose is Rose' and the comic in which she floats around looking deliriously happy... because she can look in the closet and see it organized :)

  16. how proud you must be of your family: clara and basketball, henry and the appointment of captain for his soccer team, paul and his incredible courage and strength, your dad and his record of service to our country. in the midst of these busy, trying times, i hope you will take time to let it all soak in.

  19. I am a little late catching up this week, and hope the chemo went well for Paul today and he can rest and relax a bit - you too, Rinda! I think you must be the glue at times holding it all together ...
