The 2012 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt is almost over! On Friday, September 21, I will publish a post asking all participants to comment and let me know how many of the items you found during the summer. Participants will have until Sunday night, September 23 to check-in. I will be giving out two prizes: one chosen from among those who found all 21 of the items and one chosen from among all participants. The prizes will be photography-related and randomly chosen. See you on Friday!
The other day I went for a walk on the beach looking for sea glass. I didn't find much of that, but I did collect a whole bowl full of beach stones. I took them home and created some still lifes.
The first one is organic:
The second one is more arranged:
And, for the third one, I let my muse take over:
Got a favorite in today's offering?
What lovely creative photos. Love the last one, the yellow and grey are such a gorgeous combination.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the third one, it brought a smile to my morning face and lightened my morning grumpiness. Thank you Rinda
ReplyDeleteOh decisions, decisions! I like the form and shape of the third but the colour and hue of the organic arrangement. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, but the third is my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteI like the ghost in the second picture and in the third picture top row in the middle the smooth circular shape, because I could turn it in my hand when I'm thinking.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of stones like this but never thought of photographing them, I also have a lot of sea washed glass. Rinda, you are such an inspiration to me. Guess what I'll be looking at through my lens today?
Love the variety of colours....and the third is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteloving that pop of yellow. I didn't get any of my beach stones or shells out this summer - was thinking this the last time you did a beach set of photos. Do love finding interestingly weathered stones and beach glass so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think the collection in the bowl is the one which makes me want to reach out and feel their smoothness in my own hand
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the balance one - made me smile when I saw it! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the last one. Gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteThe last one is my favorite. Very whimsical.
ReplyDeleteI love your muse. You must live close to the beach, that's nice. I actually like them all Rinda. Have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteLove the cairn--the contrast of colors really sets it off.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the very last one, Rinda - and I am so delighted to see that you are still making lovely collections.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for the stack in the last photo - I really like the other shots, but I *love* that last one! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bowlful best!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the third one - anything with a splash of yellow will almost always be my favorite! :>)
ReplyDeletei love the vision of the muse. it is amazing to think you get such beautiful rocks from a walk on a nearby beach! you must feel so blessed to be able to find such treasures close to home.
ReplyDeleteLOVE when the muse sings to you ;) #3 is my fav!
ReplyDeleteI love beach stones and you've found some beauties!
ReplyDeleteHi Rinda, I really like how you have captured the natural beauty in the pebbles. I love all four of your creative photographs. Andy
ReplyDeleteI LOVE beach stones! The first one is my favorite! I love the "horn" and the "eyes" on the big one :)
ReplyDeleteHa, I love the balanced tower in the last photo! x
