Clara: "Can I have your old camera mom?"
Me: "Yes you can, once you learn how to use it."
Clara: "I know how to use it mom. It's easy. See?"
Yes, my love, I do.

Kids know everything, don't they? Lovely photo.
ReplyDeletelove the photo and dialogue format - I guess 'use it' has a range of meanings!!
ReplyDeleteShe's right, she just hasn't learnt all the tricks to taking excellent pictures yet. That'll be next week
ReplyDeleteThe thing with kids is that they aren't afraid to experiment and we all learn best by actually 'doing' rather than just reading about things. So 'bravo!' Clara, and let's see some of her photos here very soon!
ReplyDeleteKids always pick things up so quickly don't they :)
ReplyDeleteI really must agree with Ruth!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me just how much they know!!
ReplyDeleteLovely picture of your daughter Rinda.
What a beautiful face - she looks radiant! and what a lovely example of a short short story with a memory to hang onto. I love it.
ReplyDeleteOf course she knows how to use it ... she knows everything! LOL I have two teenage boys just getting like this.
ReplyDeleteThis is in the same vein as my post today. My kids can pick up any piece of technology and immediately start using it. They seem to intuitively know what each button is for and they aren't afraid to experiment. Me, I want a manual with pictures!
ReplyDeletei do this to my dad all the time. usually around computers heehee,
ReplyDeletejo xxx
Well done Clara a good self portrait
ReplyDeleteunfortunately when my daughter got hold of my camera saying she knew how to use it, she wiped the memory card and lost the photos from her hallowe'en party and a family trip to the zoo.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see the next generation of photographers starting to learn all the tricks - hope she has fun with your old camera and shares the photos with you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great smile. She took a beautiful picture.
ReplyDeletethat's a lovely self portrait :)

ReplyDeleteThe kids I teach always know how to use the computers and tech better than me!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you've told the story. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute conversation to record!
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be born knowing! Lovely self portrait :o)
ReplyDeleteSo, will she let you teach her anything about that camera? I guess she'll figure it out okay.
ReplyDeleteLove her smile in that photo, even with the big "flash" reflection. She's gorgeous, Rinda!
smart, young lady :) and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see your lovely daughter, and I'm sure she'll have it all figured out in no time.
ReplyDeletethe photo, the few words - they say volumes about your relationship with your daughter and her growing independence. she is glowing with pride and confidence.
