Where did the kids go?

Gypsy was busy looking for the kids today because it was their first day back at school. Henry's a Junior in High School and a recently licensed driver, so he drove himself to school:
Clara's starting 8th grade and spent almost two hours straightening her hair, trying on outfits and getting ready. . . but she sure is a beauty.  And she let me drive her to school.
Gypsy stayed home and waited for them to return:
By the way, our prayers seem to have been answered.  The vet said today that our little girl is on the road to recovery! We'll be weaning her off medication for the next few months and monitoring her red blood cell count, but for now she appears to be a bit of a medical miracle. And we couldn't be happier.  Thanks so much for all your support.
Anyone else sending kids off to school this week?

  1. That is wonderful news about Gypsy!

I have to block my ears and sing 'lalalalalalaaa' when I ponder how quickly all our children are growing! Henry looks as though he is taking it all in his stride and Clara looks so excited to begin the new academic year ... or is it the prospect of catching up with all her friends?!

The streams of school uniformed kids walking along my street started again last week

  3. I am delighted that Gypsy is on the mend - as a doggy mum I know how much you must have worried about her.

Your daughter is certainly a beauty and a son that drives - that would certainly add to my grey hair count!

Will have to google how old kids are in grade 8 and junior high - our school system is different!

Congrats to Henry on his driving licence - being able to drive yourself to school is a defining moment I think.
