Scavenger Hunt Sunday (May 8, 2011)

It's been a while since I've participated in the Sunday Photography Scavenger Hunt, but as this was a big photo weekend for me, I decided to join in.  You can see this week's prompts (SOOC, Sprouting, Isn't it Ironic, Lazy, and Smells like Spring) at Ashley's blog here.  The first prompt was "SOOC" or "Straight Out of the Camera." This is always hard for me, as I almost always auto adjust, brighten and sharpen my photos. But, I do like how this photograph turned out. It's from the AT&T baseball stadium where we went to watch the Giants play on Saturday night. I like how you can feel nightfall in it.
For "sprouting," here's my 16 year old boy and his friends - on the cusp of adulthood and sprouting into fully formed human beings right before my eyes.
Isn't it ironic that this girl who really didn't want to run track turns out be really good at the 800 meters? And pretty darn good at the 400 meters, too!
Lazy is a two-fer, as I couldn't decide between my lazy cat, J.J. and my lazy dog, Gypsy.  Also wanted to do two new photos for lazy, as Smells Like Spring is a repeat photo from Easter:
Strawberries in a balsamic vinaigrette -so aromatic!  You can find the recipe here.  I'll be returning to these and other photos this week to share more about Henry at 16, Clara at the track, my Mother's Day Photo Shoot and 4 People 12 Times. I've also got some National Scrapbook Day layouts and "Memories in a Card" to share. This will be a good week at Gallo Organico, so please stop by.  Also, last chance to enter the quote contest by going to this post. I'll be choosing the winner tomorrow night.
