I love this picture. I remember wandering the back alleys of Venice (Summer 2008) and coming across this clothes line . . . such beautiful whites and that one pop of color! I've used this image in several pieces I have sold. It would be fun to order some more prints and create with it again.
I love this image. No wonder you have used it several times before! Venice is one of the places on my 'must visit one day' list :)
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love it :-) We're hoping to get to Venice in the next couple of years - now I shall be looking out for washing lines! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! A clothesline says so much about a person. We rode out a hurricane, when my children were little, and the power was out for three days and we had to use our clothesline for everything. I wonder what our neighbors learned about our family?
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about laundry hanging outdoors? I got a picture in Amish Country of the same and love it. Your pic is great!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful image. I love the fresh white against the faded walls.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great image....especially against the ancient wall.....I love Venice.
ReplyDeleteLove it. :) That is one of the things I really loved about Italy. I saw the clotheslines in Naples, and with them the stereotypical Italian women leaning out windows shouting to each other across alleys. It was amazing. Thanks for stirring up those memories.
ReplyDeleteI love this pic. Unfortunately when I was in Venice it was raining and dreary. Great, great shot!
ReplyDeleteI loved Venice. The colors were so full of POP!
ReplyDeleteMaria I didn't know that you had sold some pieces! very nice.
I figured I would try my luck and so I voted too!
Hugs,
