So my hubby and I have taken to picking up ornaments when we are on vacation.

That said, my hubby has some ornaments that were made from ribbon, lace and old christmas cards when he was a kid. We added a few to the tree this year.

You can see one in particular lit up pink in the middle of the tree here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1404477&l=f58e70246c&id=1576217135Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12237895514925121339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7671093558941693832.post-31316258578550541992010-12-18T10:32:02.171-08:002010-12-18T10:32:02.171-08:00I love bringing out the same decorations year afte...I love bringing out the same decorations year after year. We do have glass balls from the mid 60's that were on DH's tree as a child.ComfyMom~Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15645425225886356909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7671093558941693832.post-55707325491950371712010-12-18T07:13:49.269-08:002010-12-18T07:13:49.269-08:00That's wonderful to still have a decoration ma...That's wonderful to still have a decoration made in your childhood...and most amazing thing is I have an almost identical one made by DS when he was 5....though I think it may be a larger version....as it doesn't fit on the tree!!!
The tree looks wonderful.scrappyjackyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11761068895383717904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7671093558941693832.post-11822402100540737572010-12-18T06:52:26.008-08:002010-12-18T06:52:26.008-08:00How amazing to have an ornament from your own chil...How amazing to have an ornament from your own childhood! Sarah took her collection when she got married and it was so much fun to see all of them on her tree this year.

I think the oldest ornament on our tree is one we made for our first tree after we were married. It's an origami bird. We had little money for such things, so held a party where friends helped us string cranberry and popcorn and folded origami cranes. It was a beautiful tree. I have no photos, and only one crane left, but it always gets a prominent spot on our tree.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7671093558941693832.post-32562278225990050812010-12-18T01:07:55.933-08:002010-12-18T01:07:55.933-08:00How absolutely excellent to have your decoration f...How absolutely excellent to have your decoration from Kindergarten!
