Weekend before last, we got our Christmas tree. We went for tall and thin this year (our ceiling is 12 feet tall, and it comes pretty close once we put the start on top). We strung the lights and brought out the ornament boxes. The first ornament on the tree?
Same as every year! The Santa Star I made in kindergarten. As an added bonus, it counts as item #4 A Star in the Wintertime Photography Scavenger Hunt.
Speaking of which, why have one snowman for item #5 when you can have three?
Right now, I'd love to have a photograph of the fully decorated tree all lit up, but no . . .
Because these two
They look so innocent, don't they? But between the two of them, they managed to destroy all the lights on the bottom half of the tree (and a few ornaments to boot)! Well, they're both still technically babies. So, better luck next year!

How could you get cross with those two little fur babies?! You'll know for next year!
We're late in getting our tree this year - have plans to get it this afternoon. I purposely don't put special ornaments on the bottom of the tree because of our brat cat, Whiskers Jay!
Oh naughty beasties! & yes they do look quite sweet & innocent of all wrong doing ... I like that you still have something you made from school & your snowmen are quite cute. Cheers to the rest of the season having a tree standing tall. ;)
Oh no! It looks a splendid height though - very graceful.
My son has a gate surrounding their beautiful tree---to save it from the cat and the one year old!
Lovely tree, it looks splendid with your high ceiling! Sorry that these 2 pets were naughty! They do look cute and innocent! Our 9 month old puppy is not allowed out of the kitchen into the lounge or dining room because of trees!
They do look so innocent! Did you get pictures of the carnage to blackmail them with when they are older?
Oh no! I hope your first and favourite stayed safe
We had a dog destroyed tree one year...and she managed to eat all the chocolates on it as well.
How nice to have the star you made.
So sorry to hear about the tree :(
