Tonight Clara went through the promotion ceremony from middle school. She looked great:
Afterwards, we went to dinner at the local sushi restaurant:
It's been a long year, and, truthfully, we're all glad to put 8th grade behind us. But, Clara's looking forward to our vacation and a fresh start in High School. And we'll be there to support her. Because she's awesome, and we love her. Congratulations Clara! You go girl!

What a happy time & she does look gorgeous!
Here's to the future!
Congratulations to Clara! I learned something on my trip Canada with 25 middle schoolers last week. Dr. M said that no matter what "All sweet 7th graders turn into obnoxious 8th graders." He said there are very few exceptions and he has seen it for the last 20 years! I trust him because he teaches middle school. I'm sure Clara will have a great high school experience and wish me luck as I enter that year! Love you guys!
my step-daughter just finished her freshman year in high school and absolutely loved it, especially compared to middle school. :-) i'm sure clara will be pleasantly surprised, as well.
Congratulations Clara and I hope next year is all you would want it to be.
Woo hoo - congrats Clara! My 8th grade graduation was so exciting. And I love your pictures!! :)
